Annual DV Vic Survey
DV Vic are currently seeking feedback from our members through a survey distributed online.
Following is the email attached to the 2008 DV Vic survey:
To all DV Vic members,
Please find attached a brief, online questionnaire seeking your feedback on DV Vic and our performance over the past twelve months. A survey will now be conducted annually to support DV Vic to evaluate and improve our practice.
The survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete. Please note, once submitted you will not be able to re-open the online document.
The survey results are kept entirely confidential and are anonymous. DV Vic asks that one survey is completed by each member organisation as a group document, DV Vic is aware that different aspects of the survey will be relevant to different members within an organisation.
We ask that members complete the survey by Friday 15th August. DV Vic will then provide a response to the survey by the 12th September. The response will include feedback to members on outcomes of the survey.
The survey poses a timely opportunity to reflect and review. DV Vic and the family / domestic violence sector have faced a number of challenges and opportunities over the past year and DV Vic has undergone much internal development. We are therefore keen to hear your feedback so that we can adapt and improve our practice.
DV Vic is an evolving organisation. Up until just over a year ago, DV Vic was operating on one position. However with the initiation of the new Policy Officer, Practice Development Manager and Family Violence Prevention Media Awards positions the organisation has improved its capacity to operate as a peak. DV Vic has also undertaken much internal review and development, including the work involved in strengthening the governance of DV Vic, a constitution review, website & communication strategy development and the development of a strategic and business planning framework. This work, along with the implementation of the new positions and the ongoing challenges to the family/domestic violence sector, has meant DV Vic has been busy consolidating as a peak organisation, as well as responding to the day-to-day developments in our sector.
The survey has a particular focus on our communication with members to clarify expectations, as we have in the past received conflicting feedback from members about the preferred volume and format of DV Vic’s communication. We want to address this and plan to use the information gained, in part, to inform the development of our member communication strategy, which will hopefully meet the information needs of our members, clarify expectations and also match our capacity to respond.
In review, here is a list of external activities DV Vic has undertaken in the past 12 months:
We thank you for taking the time to complete this survey,
The team at DV Vic
