About Domestic Violence Victoria

Domestic Violence Victoria Inc. (DV Vic) is a value driven peak advocacy organisation committed to the rights of women and children to live free of violence. It comprises a membership of Women's family/domestic violence services operating across the state of Victoria.

DV Vic advocates for the right of women and children to live free of violence. It challenges governments and communities to be accountable for the violation of this right. It takes the needs of women and children who have experienced violence to governments, the legal system and other services, to advocate for protection and entitlements, while also promoting the empowerment of victims of violence. It supports and promotes innovative and good practice models in the provision of services to women and children experiencing family violence. It participates in fund-raising and coordinates the distribution of direct aid to women and children experiencing hardship as a result of family violence.
